About the organization ;
Siliguri, the gate way to the North East India is not only of vital
importance to the State of West Bengal but India as a whole. Located at
the foot of Himalayas on the verge of Terai, it presents the picturesque
glimpse of the Himalayan ranges establishing its inmate charm to a
visitor. Though the settlement started initially with the tea plantation
and a junction station to change over to the Toy train for Darjeeling
in 1880 it acquired the status of Sub Divisional town in 1907. Though by
thirties it had gained weight age as a town, it was conferred Municipal
status only in 1949.Siliguri is located in the narrow corridor
connecting Northeast with the rest of India with Bhutan in the
Northeast, Bangladesh in the south and Nepal in the west. Proximity to
the international borders with Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and also China
places Siliguri at a strategic significance. In respect of trade,
commerce and tourist traffic Siliguri occupies an extremely important
position for Sikkim

vi) Admit Cards intimating the date of Written Test will be sent to the candidates individually by post in due course.

General Instructions:
1. Attested copies of all Certificates / Testimonials are required to be attached along with the Application form. Original Certificates / Testimonials will have to be produced before Interview, failing which, candidature will be rejected straightway. Candidates acquiring required Educational Qualification after the date of application are not eligible.
2. One copy of the self signed photograph of the candidate is to be pasted on the application form in the space provided for and two self-addressed envelopes (4”x10”) with requisite Stamps of Rs.5.00 are to be sent along with the application in the following manner:“APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF (Name of the post & Code no.)”

Bankers Cheque / Demand Draft amounting of Rs.100/- (Rupee one hundred) for Group –‘C’ posts (exemption SC/ST/PH categories) and amounting of Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty) for Group- ‘D’ posts (exemption SC/ST/PH categories) should be sent along with the each Application Form (One application form should be used for single post).
